*2004 (for ease, we'll pretend the journey starts here) - Started yoga at age 15 with a weekly Gentle Practice at The Club, St. Simons Island, GA with my dad before school, loving the associated feeling of calm and focus on these days.
*2009 - Deepened a love and understanding for the practice in a PE Yoga Class at Sewanee: The University of the South.
*2013-2015 - Taught children and adults yoga in the Philippines, where I was a Peace Corps Volunteer. Intense journaling happened during this time, deepening my sense of self-awareness and spiritual understanding of yoga.
*2015 - Attended a 3 day silent meditation retreat in Chiang-Mai, Thailand, learning from devout Buddhist monks living at the temple.
*2016 - Received Yoga Alliance RYT-200 Ashtanga Vinyasa Certification from Omcore Mind & Body in St. Simons Island, GA. This training took 6 months.
*2016-2019 - Taught and studied yoga under some of the best teachers in our nation while obtaining a MS in Sustainability Studies in Asheville, NC. Traveled around the city teaching privately at people's homes, employees at breweries and marketing agencies, as well as at the YM & YWCA's of Asheville.
*2017 - Took a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training Workshop through Pure Yoga, Asheville.
*2020 - Completed a Yin Yoga Workshop from Asheville Yoga Center.
